Spot Trading Risk Warning

Written by 100X

1. Spot Trading Involves Price Fluctuation Risks

Digital asset prices may fluctuate to varying degrees due to multiple factors, including market supply and demand, liquidity, policy changes, market sentiment, and project development.

Before participating in spot trading, users should fully understand the price fluctuation risks of relevant assets and trade reasonably based on their own risk tolerance.

2. Spot Trading Does Not Cause Liquidation, but Losses May Still Occur

Spot trading does not involve leverage, so it does not include forced liquidation mechanisms like futures trading.

However, if the market price falls after a user buys an asset, the value of the assets in the account may also decrease, resulting in floating losses or actual losses.

For example, after a user buys BTC with USDT, if the market price of BTC decreases, the equivalent value of the BTC held by the user will also decrease accordingly.

3. Market Orders May Involve Slippage

When a user places a market order to buy or sell, the system will match the order based on the current order book price.

When the market fluctuates significantly or the order book depth is insufficient, the final execution price may differ from the price displayed when the order was placed. This situation is usually called slippage.

Therefore, when using market orders, users should pay attention to market volatility and order book depth.

4. Limit Orders May Not Be Filled

A limit order will only be filled when the market price reaches or is better than the order price set by the user.

If the market price does not reach the price set by the user for a long time, the order may remain unfilled. Users may choose to continue waiting, cancel the order, or place a new order based on market changes.

5. Trading Pairs May Be Adjusted or Delisted

The platform may adjust, suspend, or delist certain spot trading pairs based on factors such as project liquidity, market performance, compliance requirements, risk control, and project operation status.

If a trading pair is adjusted, please refer to the information displayed on the 100X App and official platform announcements, and handle related assets or orders in a timely manner.

6. Please Manage Trading Risks Properly

When participating in spot trading, users should pay attention to the following:

  1. Do not blindly chase rising prices or panic sell

  2. Do not use essential living funds for high-risk trading

  3. Confirm the trading pair, order direction, order type, price, and quantity before placing an order

  4. Trade according to your own risk tolerance

  5. Pay attention to platform announcements and trading pair status changes

  6. Keep your account information secure to avoid asset security risks

7. Friendly Reminder

The digital asset market is highly volatile, and any trading activity may result in profits or losses. Users should make independent trading decisions after fully understanding the product rules and market risks.

8. Special Note
