1. What Are Frozen Assets?
Frozen assets refer to assets that are temporarily locked by the system after a user submits a spot order.
These assets are reserved for the pending order and will be used when the order is filled.
Frozen assets do not disappear and are not additionally deducted. However, before the order is filled or canceled, the frozen portion cannot be used for other trades, withdrawals, or transfers.
2. Why Are Assets Frozen After Placing an Order?
When a user submits a buy or sell order, the system needs to reserve the corresponding assets to ensure that the order can be completed once the execution conditions are met.
For example, if a user places a limit order to buy BTC with 100 USDT, the system will temporarily freeze the 100 USDT.
If the order is filled, the frozen USDT will be used to buy BTC.
If the order is canceled, the unfilled portion of the USDT will be returned to the available balance in the spot account.
3. What Situations May Cause Assets to Be Frozen?
Common situations include:
An unfilled spot buy order has been submitted
An unfilled spot sell order has been submitted
An order is partially filled, and the remaining portion continues to wait for execution
The trading pair is under system processing, maintenance, or settlement
There are other unfinished trading operations in the account
4. How to Check Frozen Assets
Users can go to the 【Assets】 page to view the asset details in their spot account.
In general, the asset page will display:
Available balance
Frozen amount
Total asset amount
The frozen amount usually corresponds to currently unfinished spot orders.
5. How to Unfreeze Assets
Users can unfreeze assets through the following methods:
Wait for the order to be fully filled
Manually cancel the unfilled order
Wait for the system to complete order processing or settlement
Check whether the trading pair is under maintenance, suspended, or restricted
After an order is successfully canceled, the frozen assets corresponding to the unfilled portion will usually be automatically returned to the available balance in the spot account.
6. Why Haven’t My Assets Become Available After Canceling an Order?
Under normal circumstances, after an order is successfully canceled, the frozen assets from the unfilled portion will be automatically unfrozen.
If the assets have not become available immediately, it may be due to system processing, network delay, or the trading pair still being under settlement. Users can refresh the page later or check the order history to confirm the order status.
7. Friendly Reminder
If the order has already been filled, the corresponding assets will be deducted or credited according to the execution result.
If the order is unfilled or only partially filled, users can check the order status under open orders and cancel the order if needed.
8. Special Note
100X provides spot trading services and related feature descriptions. The actual asset status, order status, and unfreezing result shall be subject to the display on the 100X App and the system’s actual processing result.
