How to Start Your First Spot Trade

Written by 100X

1. What Is Spot Trading?

Spot trading refers to buying or selling digital assets directly using the available assets in your account, either at the current market price or at a price you set yourself.

For example, when a user buys BTC with USDT, the BTC will be credited to the spot account after the order is filled. When a user sells BTC, the USDT received from the trade will be credited to the spot account.

Spot trading is an asset exchange activity. It does not involve leverage and does not include forced liquidation mechanisms like futures trading.
