Recently, after the upgrade of Google Authenticator, the cloud sync function has been launched.

Since this function is not end-to-end encrypted, it may pose potential security risks to 100X users who use Google Authenticator, increasing the security risks to their accounts and assets.

Therefore, if you use Google Authenticator for security verification, we strongly recommend that you turn off the "Cloud Sync" function of Google Authenticator. Both iOS and Android users can refer to the following operations:

Situation 1: Using Google Authenticator while already logged in to a Google account

Open Google Authenticator, click on the profile icon in the upper right corner — [Use without logging in] — [Continue], and you can turn off the "Cloud Sync" function of Google Authenticator.

Note: After canceling the login of the account, you need to manually open Google Authenticator again, click the "+" sign to complete the corresponding operation to obtain the verification code.

Situation 2: Using Google Authenticator while not logged in to a Google account.

In this case, the cloud sync function is automatically turned off, and you don't need to perform any further operations.
